Metro Detroit Concerts of the Detroit Lutheran Singers

DLS 2011 -LD The Detroit Lutheran Singers begin our 2014-2015 choral season with another exciting line up for the year ahead. Under the direction of Christopher Hall, who in his third season as director, we begin our 48th year of promotion excellence in sacred choral music. Following the premiere of commissioned anthem Cor Mundum Crea Me by K. Lee Scott at the close of our 2013-2014 season, the Singers were back in rehearsal for a new CD recording. Release is planned later this fall.

We begin this season with two concerts on October 19, 2014 in Royal Oak titled “Sacred Pairings” featuring works by John Rutter, K. Lee Scott, and Detroit’s own Brazeal Dennard as well as Scarlatti, Poulenc and Christiansen.
